Profesora e Investigadora en el Centro de Relaciones Internacionales (CIR) de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Liubliana. Mantiene un puesto de medio tiempo como consejera en el Instituto de Análisis Macroeconómico y Desarrollo (think-tank del gobierno de Eslovenia). Presidió la Asociación Europea para la Investigación en Servicios (RESER) durante el periodo 2008-2012. Tiene experiencia en análisis y asesoramiento sobre políticas. Fue parte del proyecto European Policies and Instruments to Support Innovation in Services (EPISIS, 2009-2012) y del grupo de expertos High Level Economic Policy Expert Group of DG RTD Innovation for Growth (2011- 2014).

Ha publicado extensamente sobre el desarrollo de servicios en economías en transición, I+D e innovación en el diseño de políticas, políticas de innovación en servicios, internacionalización de servicios y cadenas globales de valor en servicios.
